Beginning Monday, January 23, 2012, the district will implement a new referral system. This referral has been designed by the Building Climate Subcommittee of the District Leadership Team. It is designed to help capture more specific information about student misbehavior. Teachers can still check a broad category of behavior (Ex: “Disruption”) but will now be prompted to provide a second clarifying detail (Ex: “Excessive Talking in Class”).
School Leadership Teams will then be better able to design more appropriate Positive Behavior Supports to address consistent discipline issues. The most important aspect of the referral will remain the text that you enter to describe the incident.
The Building Climate Subcommittee thanks you for your flexibility in adapting to this new system. We believe it will better inform us to improve our building climates!
Instructions can be found here.

The proxy, or filter used in accessing the Internet from school, was changed over the Summer. The new system no longer requires special network settings so the old ones have to be removed. Please follow the instructions linked below to make two needed changes.
Download the directions to remove Proxy Settings.

Many of you may now be receiving attachments from the newest version of Microsoft Office and are unable to open them. They are easy to differentiate as they end with one of the following:
.docx (Word Document)
.xlsx (Excel Spreadsheet)
.pptx (PowerPoint Presentation)
The current version of Office we have licensing for is Office 2004, and it is possible to open these files with a simple converter program that can be downloaded for free by clicking the link below.

If you have any difficulty installing this program, please contact your building TRT for assistance.
